Ms. Pac-Man Stickers Version Differences
It may be a little known fact that Fleer issued two different versions
of the Ms. Pac-Man Stickers and Ruboffs packs. The packs appear to be
identical from the outside, but on the inside, if one looks very
closely, there are two key differences:
- In one set, each Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man picture has "PAC-MAN T.M." on it
- The ruboff game instructions are printed in dark blue ink instead of black
Presumably the Midway Manufacturing Company got more strict with their
trademark licensing and requested that Fleer enhance their trademark
labeling. The extra "PAC-MAN T.M." labeling is maintained in the
Super Pac-Man stickers. I do not know which set
is more rare, but based on my own observations of others' collections,
I would guess that the first set without the "PAC-MAN T.M." is
more rare.
